The man, a subcontractor, was carrying out maintenance work at a concrete company located in the Reeckervelt industrial area in Riemst, when he was apparently hit by a conveyor belt late Monday evening. An investigation has been opened.
The man in his thirties was working alone and there are therefore no witnesses to the accident.
The victim was found around 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning by the morning team, but the emergency services could not do anything.
