An individual snuck onto the tarmac at Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport in Montreal on Tuesday evening, forcing authorities to delay several flights.
“ADM Aéroports de Montréal can confirm that an individual entered the apron in the restricted area at the start of the evening. He was quickly apprehended by ADM Airport Security and transferred to the SPVM. As a preventive measure, additional checks were carried out on nine aircraft on the transborder departures side, which caused delays. Normal operations are gradually resuming now.”
At 7:30 p.m., on the airport’s website, several flights had been postponed for a few hours to allow the authorities time to carry out checks.
