Andalusia has administered until Saturday, May 29, a total of 4,649,889 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 –20,338 more in 24 hours–, which represents 99.45% of the doses received, and up to Thursday a total of 1,551,263 Andalusians have the complete vaccination schedule, since “problems in the download of vaccination data,” according to the Board, prevent citizens from being immunized on Friday and Saturday from knowing.
In this way, the region has given 450,754 vaccines from Sunday, May 23 to this Saturday, May 29, some 6,000 more than the week with the previous record from May 9 to 15 (444,819), according to data collected by Europa Press from April 18.
These data are recorded after the Minister of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, Jesús Aguirre, announced on April 29 that he plans to dispense between 500,000 and 800,000 weekly vaccines from the end of May, in view of the commitment of the Government of Spain on a large influx in the arrival of vaccines.
Regarding the number of people with the two doses, a failure in the Board’s system makes it impossible to know the data for Friday and Saturday. Thus, from Sunday 23 to Thursday 27 Andalusia has completed the complete schedule of the vaccine in 148,115 people. However, this data already exceeds that of last week (139,745). The best is 210,083 from the week of April 25 to May 1.
The aforementioned “problems in the download of vaccination data” also prevent knowing the distribution of those vaccinated by provinces until this Saturday. Until Thursday, May 27, in Seville a total of 1,0273,072 have been administered and 350,745 people have already completed the vaccine, while in Malaga the total doses so far amounts to 850,832 and the people with both already inoculated are 282,013 .
In Cádiz, there are 662,140 vaccines already administered and people with the complete regimen total 221,766; in Granada, 522,703 were administered and 182,379 people with the complete pattern; and in Córdoba, 473,980 the doses administered and 167,910 people with the complete schedule of the vaccine.
Finally, the total of doses administered in Jaén is 372,341, with 133,410 people with the complete regimen; in Almería, 353,943 and 114,570 have completed the guideline; and in Huelva 275,480 are the administered doses and 98,470 are immunized.
