This Friday in Anderlecht, a truck got stuck in a hole in the middle of rue Alphonse Demunter.
The Brussels firefighters had to intervene around 11:40 a.m. Using a crane and a traction vehicle, the capital’s fire men managed to hoist the vehicle out of the sinkhole. “The subsidence was caused by a water leak”, says the fire department spokesperson. No injuries are to be reported.
Fortunately, the gas pipe located in the basement was not affected during the accident. The inter-municipal water management company, Vivaqua, is now monitoring the incident.
