Anthony Randolph tears his Achilles tendon and says goodbye to the season

The American Anthony Randolph says goodbye to the season after confirming Real Madrid that “he has been diagnosed with complete rupture of the left Achilles tendon“.

In the note, Madrid affirms that “the player will undergo surgery in the next few days.”

The American power forward, with a Slovenian passport, was injured in the Euroleague match against Olympiacos, midway through the third quarter, when going to serve in the bottom after a basket from the Greek team.

This type of injury, one of the most serious for a player, has a very long recovery over time, especially in people over two meters tall, which can reach 8-10 months depending on the cases.

Madrid did not plan to make any signings, but the significance of the injury and the lack of tall men can change the team’s plans.
