The VINCI Energies group announced on Friday that it was ending its partnership with Matricule 1 until the end of the season. The collaboration for next season will be analyzed. VINCI reiterates that respect for women is important to it and indicates that it does not wish to communicate more about this partnership.
VINCI Energies is the fourth sponsor to drop the Antwerp club after Select Group, Assurances Fédérales and Descroes. The ZNA hospital group is evaluating its collaboration with the club. The Port of Antwerp will assess the situation at the next club board meeting, which its CEO will attend.

These departures follow the arrival of Marc Overmars as technical director of the Great Old. The Dutchman, introduced earlier this week, had to leave his post at Ajax Amsterdam in early February for sending “inappropriate” messages to several female colleagues.
