Apple to force employees to wear cameras to avoid leaks

The Cupertino company has already set up this type of device internally.

It seems that Apple is fed up with information about unmarketed products appearing on the web. The American company would thus have decided to act and drastically strengthen its internal confidentiality measures. More to threaten some of the most famous leakers, Apple has decided to equip its teams with body cameras to avoid leaks.

A new report from FrontPageTech indicates that Apple has been testing this type of device for a few weeks now. The body cameras would be reserved only for certain employees of the American company, in particular to those likely to handle top secret products, not yet announced.

Unfortunately, the report does not say more. It’s hard to know what kind of camera Apple would use or how these body cameras are supposed to prevent leaks. If they work like those of the police, avoiding being caught while taking a photo of such or such unofficial product remains possible, even if we can imagine that Apple seeks above all to scare its employees.

The use of this type of device still seems surprising. Apple employees involved in the development of top secret products may well divulge information verbally to those around them or to reporters without Apple realizing it. The Cupertino company could have other reasons for using this type of camera, unfortunately, we will certainly never know. Moreover, it is difficult to verify the use of this type of device within the company. It is therefore best to take this information with a grain of salt.
