“Arrest and Charges for Terrorism: Osvaldo NM Faces Jail Time for Possession and Manufacturing of Explosives”

Juarez City.- Charges for terrorism and two other crimes, faces Osvaldo NM, 19 years old, when he was charged before a federal control judge, for the discovery of Molotov cocktails in the Gran Patio Zaragoza square.

In addition to terrorism, provided for in article 139 section I of the Federal Penal Code; the charges filed were possession of explosives (article 11 subsection H of the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives) and manufacturing of explosives (article 85 bis section I, of the same law), according to criminal case 342/2023.

The agents of the Federal Public Ministry, who this afternoon executed the arrest warrant, presented evidence, approved police reports of the cases of April 14 and May 19, of the current year.

In addition to surveillance videos of the square and evidence secured after a search at the defendant’s home.

Osvaldo NM reserved the right to testify at this hearing and requested that at the constitutional end of 72 hours he determine whether or not it binds him to the process.

Therefore, the continuation of the initial hearing was scheduled for next Friday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m.
