The acquisition of the French company will not only help to facilitate the work of publishers in the production of digital books, but also, ultimately, to enable them to achieve the highest standards of accessibility to reading, in particular graphic books.
In other words, De Marque and his Lab will focus on developing technology to make digital books more accessible to people with disabilities.
In a press release, the company explains: “We are very happy to add the entire Geo Comix team to the large De Marque family, and this confirms our desire to strengthen our research and development teams, particularly around AI associated with books and its use towards universal accessibility to reading,” commented Marc Boutet, the president.
De Marque has a wide range of tools and services around books, for example the Aldiko app, or the Feedbooks bookstore.
