ARVR: Apple registers the trademarks “Reality One”, “Reality Pro” and “Reality Processor”

If the project has still not been officially confirmed (just like the Apple Car…), Apple continues to lay the groundwork for the arrival of a future ARVR product. She actually comes from to file several trademarks including the word Realityin a number of territories.

There are thus demands for US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica and Uruguay. These apply to names like Reality One, Reality Pro et Reality Processor. Note that they were recorded in the name of the firm Immersive Health Solutions LLCwhich is considered a company screen of Apple and which was incorporated in February.

Indeed, in order to guarantee a certain confidentiality, Cupertino has already used shell companies to register trademarks or patents for unreleased products – so that they are not directly linked to it in the event of leaks. For example, one of them was Yosemite Research LLCwhich was used to deposit certain denominations of macOS such as Yosemite, Big Sur or Monterey, a few days before WWDC 2021. And a little bonus, Yosemite Research LLC and Reality Systems LLC are both registered at the same address, to Corporate Trust Centera company that again provides brand services for which Apple is a customer.

Finally, according to Mark Gurman, Apple’s ARVR headset – ultra premium and one of the most expensive – should benefit from two processors, fifteen optical modules, two 4K LED micro-screens, Wi-Fi 6E, as well as its own App Store. For its part, for Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has already started working on a second generation helmet – the famous Apple Glasses – which would be lighter and cheaper.

Within two weeks of Far Out / The adventure goes onsome will not fail toto hope and On More Thing by Tim Cook (or an ad by Craig Federighi, we won’t quibble on this point)!
