Resilience. Prime Minister Jean Castex is due to present the government’s “resilience” plan at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to help businesses and the population cope with the economic and social consequences of the war in Ukraine.
Corsica. Amid violence and tensions on the island, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin travels to Corsica to “open a cycle of discussions” with the elected officials, two weeks after the aggression of Yvan Colonna, which revived the anger of the nationalists. In an interview granted to Corse-Matinhe calls for a return to order and affirms: “We are ready to go as far as autonomy” for the island.
Tours of France. The candidate of the Les Républicains party, Valérie Pécresse, goes to Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) at the start of the afternoon, alongside the mayor of the city, Jean-François Copé.
