The government of In Boluarte decreed the mandatory social immobilization (curfew) in the province of huamanga (region of ayacucho) for five days after the clashes between the military and protesters that have left the balance of nine deaths in that jurisdiction. “Declare for a term of five (5) calendar days, the mandatory social immobilization of all people in their homes, within the framework of the State of Emergency at the national level declared by Supreme Decree No. 143-2022-PCM, in the province of Huamanga in the department of Ayacucho from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.,” reads the supreme decree published in the extraordinary edition of legal regulations in the official gazette A Peruvian man.
However, the norm indicates that during compulsory social immobilization “people can circulate on public roads for the acquisition, production and supply of food, which includes its storage and distribution for sale to the public“.
Pharmacies and pharmacies will also be allowed to provide care in accordance with the norm. Even the transit of the written press, radio or television as long as they carry their personal work pass, journalistic credential and Identity Document (DNI).
Likewise, during the curfew, the movement of private vehicles or pedestrians is allowed for those who “require urgent or emergency medical attention due to their life or health being at serious risk, as well as for the acquisition of medicines.”
