Baby admitted to the Puebla prison would have been stolen from the pantheon in Iztapalapa

Last Friday, January 21, it was announced that the family of Tadeo, a baby who died on January 5 in Mexico City, denounced the exhumation and theft of his son’s body in a Iztapalapa pantheon, so it is considered that it was the same one who entered the Puebla prison to be used as a “mule”.

This was mentioned after several coincident factors, such as the scar on the baby’s body and the dates of the approximate age of the baby found in a garbage can san miguel prison, located in the capital of Puebla, on January 12.

Given the complaint and statements from the family, the authorities of Puebla and the CDMX said they were working on the case, although at a press conference on January 21, the governor of Puebla, Miguel Barbosa, said that the activists only seek prominence by demanding clarification.

“Around this matter there has been a lot of speculation. Speculations of good faith and bad faith. Activists who dedicate themselves to this matter to star and make unsubstantiated assertions”

According to Saskia Niño de Rivera, co-founder of the Reinserta organization, who first denounced the finding of the baby, posted on Twitter that they were already in contact with the minor’s family, as they had gone to the Puebla Prosecutor’s Office to recognize the body.

What is known about the baby found in the Puebla prison?

The family heard an interview with Niño de Rivera, the scar and the approximate age of the baby raised suspicions in the family, so they went to the pantheon and realized that their son’s body was not there.

It was said that the baby received the name of Tadeo, who was born on October 4, 2021. However, he had intestinal problems a few days after his birth since he died on January 5, 2022 and, a day later, he was buried in the Pantheon of Iztapalapa.

Reinserta said that Tadeo’s family began to receive direct threats after they reported the theft of their son’s body, but this week they went to the Puebla Prosecutor’s Office, where examinations and the complaint are currently being carried out.

For his part, journalist Manuel López San Martín published a photograph on his Twitter account showing the baby’s death certificate.

So far, the authorities are expected to respond to the case, the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office said this morning that they are working on the investigation after the administrator of the pantheon came to report the events.
