Bad news on the holiday route in France: the Vicq dam on the A2 is back

Many of you told us via our orange Alert us button, often a little disappointed. The blockade set up on the A2 motorway, and temporarily lifted, has been put back in place. “Here we go again“, writes us for example Manu”. “5km of traffic jam and 30 minutes lost again“. This is a diversion that has forced motorists to pass through the roundabout in Vicq, France, for ten months. The purpose of this diversion is to intensify border control.

This roadblock, creating many traffic jams, from the E19 in Belgium, was lifted on July 21. At that time, no indication of the duration of this lifting had been given. The return of the dam for a few days tends to prove that this interruption was only of short duration. The information available on the Michelin site, which lists the main traffic jams in France, confirms the return of the detour so dreaded by cross-border commuters and holidaymakers.

Again, no information on the duration of the return of this dam has been issued.
