In the race in the fight for sixth place synonymous with direct qualification for the quarter-finals, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds performed a bad operation during the 45th and penultimate round of the Swiss League championship.

Friday night, in Biasca, the Bees lost 2-1 against the Ticino Rockets. A defeat which greatly jeopardizes their chances of being in the right car. Deprived of its Norwegian Mathias Trettenes (suspended), the team coached by Thierry Paterlini did not find the offensive solution against opportunistic Ticinese who secured a 10th place which opens the door to the pre-play-offs.

Visp stumbles at Küsnacht

Visp, which had three successes, was also confronted with the disappointment at Küsnacht against the GCK Lions (7-5). After allowing the first three goals, the Haut-Valaisans were, this time, unable to complete a comeback, even though they fell to 3-2 within ten seconds.

Thurgovie goal on Giovannini

In Graben, Thurgau was unable to take advantage of the absence of Guillaume Asselin (with Genève-Servette) and the youth-oriented coaching of Dany Gelinas. Beaten 4-2, the Alémaniques were terribly awkward in front of the cage well defended by Remo Giovannini.

The winner is called Olten

It was Olten who achieved the good deal of the evening. The Soleurs slapped Langenthal (6-0) and went from 7th place to 5th place with a nest egg of 68 points before the last scheduled day on Sunday. In the standings, they precede Thurgau (6th, 66), Viège (7th, 65) and La Chaux-de-Fonds (8th, 65). The program for the last round: Thurgovie-Olten, Viège-Ajoie and La Chaux-de-Fonds-Kloten.
