Sergio Busquets, midfielder of Barcelona, was explored this Wednesday by the Catalan club’s medical services, which confirmed that he suffers a sprain of the external lateral ligament of the left knee that will make him miss, at least, the LaLiga match next Saturday against the Atlético de Madrid.
Busquets, called up by Spain in this window of national team matches, was injured during last Saturday’s confrontation against Switzerland, in the Nations League match.
While the midfielder underwent a review of his injury at the Joan Gamper Sports City, his teammates trained under Ronald Koeman.
While waiting for the reincorporation of the internationals, the session had the participation of Ter Stegen, Piqué, Aleñá, Dembélé, Riqui Puig, Neto, Coutinho, Jordi Alba, Matheus, Umtiti and Junior, from the first team, and Arnau Tenas, Mingueza and Ramos Mingo, from the subsidiary.
The Barça squad will return to training at the Sant Joan Despí facilities this Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., to continue preparing the next league match against the rojiblanco team.
