After the 3-1 defeat of the U. of Chile against Curicó Unido for date 22 of the National Championship, a group of barristas waited for the student campus at the Centro Deportivo Azul.
The arrival of the first team of the U was guarded by members of Carabineros de Chile, who were present at the intervention of the fans to avoid any conflict. Inside the sports complex the players and coaching staff got off the bus and approached the group of fans.
In the first instance, the barristas criticized the performance of the squad in the last games, where they accumulate six consecutive games without winning. In any case, the fans gave their support to the team and there was no disturbance of any kind.
Currently, the U. de Chile marches in the thirteenth position of the National Championship with 22 units, just 3 points from the relegation zone.
The last victory achieved by those led by Diego López was against Unión La Calera, on July 2. After that game, the blues add two draws and four losses.
The team’s next commitment will be against Cobresal for the departure of Round of 16 of the Chilean Cup. This match will be played next Thursday, August 18 from 8:30 p.m. in El Salvador.
