Battlefield 2042 could go free-to-play after its disastrous launch | Xbox One

Battlefield 2042 has been available since November 19, 2021 and the least we can say is that its launch has not been easy. The game still suffers today from many bugs and attracts more and more the wrath of the community every day. Recently, we also learned that the subreddit dedicated to the title could close due to strong tensions between the developers and the community.

Obviously very disappointed with the results of the game, Electronic Arts would be visibly ready to take drastic measures.

Barttlefield 2042 soon to be free?

It’s again via Tom Henderson let this rumor reach us. He recently indicated in a message posted on Twitter that several options were currently being studied at Electronic Arts and that this even included the transition from the game to free-to-play.

EA would be very disappointed with the results of Battlefield 2042 and “is studying all options” regarding the title, including free to play

Case to follow

If for the moment we do not have more details, Henderson specifies that he will soon have new information to give on the subject. In a message posted yesterday, he indicates that he needs a little more time to give new elements concerning the future of the game and that he wishes to “provide answers rather than questions”.

Give me a little more time on this subject. I consult analysts, lawyers and developers and it takes a little time to put everything in place.

The Battlefield 2042 case has therefore obviously not finished surprising us; we just hope that players can enjoy the game in the best possible conditions very soon.
