Bad news for Bavaria!
National player Leroy Sané (26) was injured at the goal gala in the top game against SC Freiburg (5-0) on Sunday evening and had to be replaced. The winger was examined after the end of the game.

Now the diagnosis is there. He has torn a muscle fiber in his left rear thigh. This was revealed by an MRI scan. This means that Bayern will have to do without their best man for several weeks!
According to BILD information, he will be out for around three weeks.
Against Freiburg, Sané (BILD-Rating 1) was once again the best player on the field. After a slump in performance, the international (10 goals/5 assists in 15 games) is in the form of his life. Now Bayern have to do without him for a longer time.
What happened?
Shortly before he was substituted (76th minute), the left winger felt pain in his left rear thigh after a pass and a turn. In the 76th minute, Mathys Tel (17) replaced the outstanding Sané.
Immediately after high fives with trainer Julian Nagelsmann and some colleagues, we went into the dressing room. The German national player disappeared into the catacombs together with physiotherapist Gianni Bianchi. He came back during the game, swapped ideas with team doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne and sat down on the bench.
He was examined on Säbener Straße late on Sunday evening.

Lucky in disguise for Bayern and the DFB!
Because a torn muscle would probably have meant the end of the desert World Cup (November 20th to December 18th) for our German international.
Hansi Flick (57) and Julian Nagelsmann (35) can breathe easy. But even the away game at Berlin’s Hertha (November 5) could still come too soon for Sané, but the aim is to return to the squad afterwards against Bremen (November 8). That way he could warm up again in time for the World Cup, which begins twelve days later.
Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidžić (45) sees Sané in this form as indispensable for both Bayern and Flick: “He can do anything. If he shows this body language, if he defends backwards like this, if he runs behind, if he repeats the balls, then he also has a left adhesive to the front, which is rare. That’s how we want to see him!”
But for the next three weeks or so, Brazzo won’t be able to see him doing magic on the pitch…
