MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — The University of Cincinnati Bearcats faced a tough challenge against the No. 24 West Virginia Mountaineers, ultimately falling 10-5 in the series finale on Saturday. Despite the loss, junior Landyn Vidourek delivered a standout performance, showcasing remarkable speed and base-stealing prowess.
The Bearcats (21-18, 8-10 Big 12) initially took the lead, but the Mountaineers (34-4, 13-3 Big 12) responded with a dominant offensive showing in the middle innings. Cincinnati attempted a late-game rally, scoring four runs in the eighth, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
