Beenox opens a studio in Montreal to work on the Call of Duty series

The company, whose head office is located in the Saint-Roch district of Quebec City, hopes to grow its team by more than 20%. This is the studio’s second major expansion in less than two years, and the first outside the nation’s capital.

In recent years, Beenox has contributed to all new seasons of Call of Duty: Warzonetype hit game battle royaleas well as a version of the series Call of Duty for smart phones.

News of the company’s expansion comes shortly after Activision announced a revamp of Call of Duty: Warzone as well as’a mobile version of the free game.

Microsoft has taken steps to buy Activision-Blizzard, which owns Beenox.

Note also that Microsoft recently revealed its intention to get its hands on the giant Activision-Blizzard by means ofa record transaction of almost 70 billion dollars.

Beenox specifies that its expansion in Montreal will also allow it to work on other ambitious new projectswithout however specifying which ones.

The developer already has a team of around 50 people working in the Greater Montreal area. In total, the Beenox staff has more than 400 members, of whom nearly 150 have landed in the past year.

The location of the new studio in Montreal will be revealed in the coming months.
