After the elimination of the Belgian couple last week, it was the sixth stage in Paraguay for the five pairs still competing in “Beijing Express, the secret choice”.
The episode begins in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. The five duos must go to the cathedral of the city. Rule imposed: no hitchhiking. They will have to convince locals to take them there. The first duo to arrive on site at the end of the event will be untouchable, and there will be no secret choice. The last two of the stage will therefore be sent to the final duel.
Jump into the void
Place for a first test. Suspended in the air, a member of each team must jump and try to hit a target with a ball.
Nathalie starts but just misses the target. Angie, whose leap into the void is her phobia, overcomes her fear despite everything but also fails (by a little) to reach the target.
Now it’s Alexandra and Laura’s turn. The two sisters are luckier than the previous pair and both take up the challenge imposed on them. They recover the address where they must join Stéphane Rotenberg, closely followed by Clément and Emeline.
The sprint begins for the two pairs. It’s ultimately the camp leaders who become untouchable, thanks to a faster route. The duo receives a considerable advantage: among the first two to arrive, they will choose the pair who will become untouchable.
Intestines, cow udder and bull testicle
Tasting on the program for the rest of the event. A test that turns out to be unappetizing for the candidates who will have to swallow intestines, cow’s udder and bull’s testicle as best they can. The faster they finish their plates, the more likely they are to win.
Xavier and Céline take the lead, just ahead of Alexandra and Laura.
The boss and the employee are chosen by Clément and Emeline and therefore become untouchable: they are guaranteed to participate in the seventh stage.
Face to face with Miguel Martinez
The last event of the episode is devoted to football. The candidates must take up a major challenge: to score a penalty against the famous goalkeeper Miguel Martinez.
Alexandre and Chirine quickly succeed in their challenge. Alexandra and Laura are the latest duo to emerge from the local stadium.
Now make way for a new surprise: the no-car sign. Candidates have the choice between several velocipedes to join Stéphane Rotenberg. Strategic lovers come first. Nathalie and Angie narrowly overtake Alexandra and Laura, who are going into a duel for the first time.
The quartet of untouchables want to break the opposing alliance and decide to give immunity to Nathalie and Angie.
An intense final duel
The “dog and cat” sisters are on a mission to put the pieces of a puzzle together. Before that, they have to collect the coins from a box full of reptiles.
Chirine manages to assemble her cobra first and wins the final duel.
Alexandra and Laura think about leaving the adventure but, surprise, they come across a non-eliminatory envelope. No elimination at the end of this sixth episode, but Stéphane Rotenberg reminds us: the stages to come will therefore necessarily be eliminatory…
