The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, commented on the reports that appeared on social networks that he had left the region and even the country, taking his family with him.
“At night, a message came that my family had left not only the region, but also the country…” the official said in a video message.
The video appeared on Gladkov’s telegram channel on the morning of May 3. The official said that he and his family members are at home in Belgorod, and this morning they are going to the marathon taking place here. According to Gladkov, the family has become even larger – the eldest daughter arrived with her husband and his granddaughter.
“I want to disappoint all our opponents and enemies: the whole family is with me!” the governor said.
In the video, he showed a family standing next to him. “They even took a cat with them,” the head of the region added.
Last night from Belgorod again came reports of “claps”, as in previous nights. Monday morning, May 2, Gladkov declaredthat the sounds of strong explosions that residents of the regional capital heard at night were the work of Russian aviation. In previous days, he confirmed that as a result of “arrivals” from the territory of Ukraine, there were some kind of destruction.
