Benny Gantz’s message to Mohammed VI

On the occasion of the 22th anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the throne, Benny Gantz, Israeli Minister of Defense, addressed his wishes to the sovereign and to the Moroccan people. This year, King Mohammed VI has decided to cancel all activities, festivities and ceremonies planned for the occasion, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This Friday, July 30, 2021, Morocco celebrated the 22th anniversary of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI. Opportunity seized by Benny Gantz, Israeli Minister of Defense to send his wishes to the sovereign and the Moroccan people. “I would like to congratulate His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the 22nd anniversary of his accession to the Throne. I wish the King every success in continuing the legacy of his ancestors. May the Kingdom of Morocco prosper, ”Benny Gantz wrote in a message posted to his Twitter account.

Usually the Feast of the Throne is a celebration made up of several official and popular ceremonies. But due to the health crisis and the evolution of the epidemiological situation, in recent weeks, King Mohammed VI decided to postpone all the festivities, ceremonies and activities. The sovereign will therefore not preside over the oath-taking reception ceremonies of the award-winning officers of the various military, paramilitary and civilian schools and institutes and the allegiance to Amir Al-Mouminine, and of all the parades and demonstrations attended by a large number of citizens.

On the other hand, King Mohammed VI addresses a speech to the Moroccan people, this Saturday, July 31. The speech will be broadcast on radio and television around 8:00 p.m. GMT, the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery said.
