Bernard Arnault, CEO of the luxury group LVMH, and his family on Wednesday December 7 took the lead in the Forbes ranking of the largest fortunes in the world, with 185.1 billion dollars, dethroning the American Elon Musk, boss of Tesla, of SpaceX and Twitter.
The 73-year-old French businessman and his family overtook him in this real-time ranking, due in particular to a sharp decline in Tesla shares on Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange. Bernard Arnault had already occupied this place for a few hours in May 2021.
