Gathered in Blois, the PS has shown its willingness to unite with EELV at regional and presidential elections. But this union promises to be complicated.
The meeting on the left after. This is the name given this year by the Socialist Party to its summer school in Blois. Reinvigorated by their good results in the municipal elections, the Socialists think strongly about the next elections: the departmental and regional elections, in 2021 and the presidential election, in 2022. With one objective: the gathering, particularly with environmentalists, many of whom were present in Blois on Friday and Saturday. And this is where the difficulties begin.
“This left after must find the instructions to find themselves”, advance Olivier Faure this Saturday in front of journalists. “It is not a question of abolishing our differences but none of us has the capacity to win the elections alone,” warns the first secretary of the PS. “Everyone must come with their specificity and their uniqueness,” he adds.
