Beyoncé made a smashing return to the Oscars, her first live performance in 2 years

OSCARS 2022 – Queen B is back! On the occasion of the 94th edition of Oscars on the night of Sunday March 27, the pop star made a masterful appearance to open the ceremony in beauty. After two years without any live performance, Beyoncé performed his track “Be alive”.

The song is none other than the original soundtrack from the film The Williams Methodwhich retraces the beginnings of the two Williams sisters, Venus and Serena, great world players of tennis.

And the venue for the performance was not chosen at random: it was broadcast from the Compton tennis courts. Located south of Los Angeles, these grounds saw the two sisters train hard in their early days. A successful symbolic wink.

As usual, Beyoncé saw things big, under the Californian sun and in an impeccably well thought-out aesthetic. With a “tennis ball” yellow as the only color, dancers, choir and musicians set the courts on fire.

Among them, Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of Beyoncé and rapper Jay-Z snuck onto the screen. The ten-year-old was spotted by fans on Twitter, in the middle of the group of dancers. After five minutes of performance, Beyoncé concludes her winning set and gives way to the long-awaited award ceremony.

Another performance that made an impression at the Oscars: Billie Eilish interpreted “No time to die”, title created on the occasion of the release of the last James Bond Last year. In a much darker atmosphere, the singer did not illuminate the scene less.

“Dying can wait”: while waiting, “it’s so good to be alive” to listen to these two essential voices.
