Dubai ∙ Dubai Police said that biometrics service has helped in finding criminals. Last year 3200 cases benefited from the biometric service. Criminals are identified by analyzing evidence from crime scenes.
Finger print, eye print, facial print, body movement and body marks are all helpful for this. Masked criminals can also be identified through biometrics. Also, those arrested on suspicion can be acquitted in the absence of evidence.
Criminals and acquittals are identified by passing the accused through a 20-meter long tunnel where more than 25 cameras are installed and biometrics are collected and analyzed.
