BioShock, XCOM, Borderlands: Three collections now available for Switch

For the Nintendo Switch there is plenty of 2K game supply available today. BioShock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection and Borderlands Legendary Collection are now available on Nintendo Switch.

All three collections are packed to the brim with content, each collection contains a combination of base games and DLC extensions. Here are the full features according to the manufacturer:

BIOSHOCK: THE COLLECTION – € 49.99

On Nintendo Switch, players experience the unforgettable worlds and monumental stories of the award-winning BioShock series with BioShock: The Collection. You travel in BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered and BioShock Infinite including all single player DLCs to the beautiful but ominous cities of Rapture and Columbia. BioShock: The Collection on Nintendo Switch includes:

  • BioShock Remastered: Players can now experience the BioShock experience, which was recognized as ‘Best Game’ at the BAFTA Gaming Awards in 2007 and received enthusiastically remastered on Nintendo Switch. You’ll explore the underwater city of Rapture, a refuge for the brightest minds in society that has degenerated into a dystopian nightmare. Add-on content from BioShock Remastered is also included, including the ‘Museum of Forgotten Ideas’, a tour of an in-game gallery with development concepts rejected or revised when BioShock was created; ‘Duel Rooms’, a series of areas that test players’ ability to solve puzzles and fight, as well as the Director’s Commentary, which is tied to collectibles, the 10 episodes of’ Imagining BioShock ‘with the creators of the original series Unlock Ken Levine and Shawn Robertson.

Players experience the underwater city of Rapture through the eyes of a fearsome Big Daddy Guardian and race against time to find a missing girl somewhere in the treacherous ruins. Add-on content from BioShock 2 Remastered is also included, including ‘Minerva’s Den’ and the battle-oriented ‘protector reviews’.

  • BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition: In the third installment of the BioShock series, players travel to the flying city of Columbia to rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl who has the ability to change reality – a power that her kidnapper uses wants to realize his distorted vision of the American dream. Add-on content from BioShock Infinite is also included, including the two-part add-on campaign ‘BioShock Infinite: Sea Burial’ in Rapture shortly before its catastrophic demise, the combat challenges’ Battle in the Clouds’ and the ‘Columbia’s Finest Pack ‘and’ Early Bird Special Pack ‘with which players can benefit from bonus equipment and weapons.

  • The physical edition contains a 16 GB software card with the opening files of BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered, and BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition. 30 GB download required for later game content.

XCOM 2 COLLECTION – € 49.99

In the XCOM 2 Collection for Nintendo Switch, players spark global resistance to destroy the alien threat and save humanity from being wiped out. It contains:

  • XCOM 2: The turn-based strategy game XCOM 2 is the successor to XCOM: Enemy Unknown and was voted the best strategy game of 2016 by PC Gamer and IGN. In XCOM 2, the aliens rule the earth and promise humanity a glorious future while secretly pursuing a sinister plan. As leaders of a guerrilla army, players must accomplish the impossible and create global resistance to destroy the alien threat and save humanity from being wiped out.

  • Four DLC packs: Four DLC packs for XCOM 2 are included in the XCOM 2 Collection for Nintendo Switch, including the Resistance Pack, Children of Anarchy, Alien Hunters, and Shen’s Last Gift.

  • XCOM 2: War of the Chosen: This game-changing expansion enriches the XCOM 2 campaign with groundbreaking innovations and additional content. Players fight alongside new resistance factions and heroes as they try to destroy the alien threat and prevent new enemies, the chosen ones, from capturing the commander again.

  • The physical edition contains an 8 GB software card with two inserts from the main game. The rest of the content needs to be downloaded. The total size of the download is no more than 25 GB.

BORDERLANDS LEGENDARY COLLECTION – € 49.99

With the Borderlands Legendary Collection on Nintendo Switch, there is now triple chaos, triple loot and triple action! It contains:

  • Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition: The co-op shooter looter that started it all, stuffed with content and improvements. Players are wielding trillions of weapons as one of four trigger-happy mercenaries, all of whom have unique RPG skills. They face the neglected planet Pandora in search of powerful alien technology: the chamber.

  • Borderlands 2: You play as one of six chamber hunters trying to free Pandora from the top villain and corporate boss Handsome Jack. Players make new friends, equip them with a bazillion in weapons, and fight by their side in a relentless quest for revenge and redemption.

  • Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel: The players fight as one of six new character classes and with brand-new moves, weapons and vehicles they create a swath of devastation on Pandora’s never-before-seen moon landscape with its low gravity.   • The physical edition includes an 8 GB software card with Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, an additional 7.7 GB must be downloaded for all DLC / add-on content. For Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, a download of 35 GB is required.
