Black Pink’s Lisa ranked #84 on the US Billboard chart with her solo song “LALISA”.
Billboard announced on Twitter on the 20th (local time) that Lisa’s first single title song ‘Larisa’ ranked 84th on the main single chart ‘Hot 100’.
Hot 100 is a chart that ranks the most popular songs in the United States, and K-pop female solo singers’ songs on this chart are CL’s ‘Lifted’ (90th) and Blackpink’s Rosé’s ‘On the Ground’ (70th). This is the third time after that.
‘Larisa’ is also Blackpink’s seventh song on this chart. It is the ninth when Black Pink has featured songs by pop stars Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga.
In addition, ‘Larisa’ took second place on the ‘Billboard Global 200’ and ‘Billboard Global (excluding the United States)’ charts, which rank popular songs by counting over 200 countries and regions around the world.
Starting with ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ in 2018, BLACKPINK has consistently ranked on the Billboard single chart every time they release a new song.
Earlier, in March, Rosé ranked 70th on the Hot 100 with her solo debut song ‘On the Ground’, revealing the brand power of not only the group but also the individual members.
Lisa’s debut single ‘Larisa’, who was born in Thailand and enjoyed great popularity in Southeast Asia, is also continuing this trend.
The physical album sold about 730,000 copies in one week after its release on the 10th, setting a new record in Initial Chodong (first week sales), and the sound source topped the iTunes ‘Top Songs’ chart in a cumulative 72 countries.
