The Montreal Blue Collar Union will launch pressure tactics on December 15, TVA Nouvelles has learned.

The notice of an indefinite general strike was sent this week to the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Solidarity.
This means that negotiations are stalling between the blue collar workers and the City with a view to renewing the collective agreement.
Remember that in mid-November, members of the blue collar union voted 97.2% for the right to exert pressure tactics, opening the door to an indefinite general strike.
Blue collar workers have been without an employment contract since December 2017.
Since then, the union and the City have held about fifty negotiation sessions, which have still not resulted in an agreement to date.
