Breath of the Wild 2 ? Vous aurez Skyward Sword HD

Nintendo unveiled a new “Zelda” on the occasion of its Nintendo Direct broadcast on February 17th. While awaiting information on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Switch players will be able to (re) play Skyward Sword in HD, initially released on Wii.

Nintendo had invited Switch players to a 50 minute long online presentation focused on upcoming novelties. While we could have hoped for information on The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild 2, the Japanese firm dampened hopes at the end of the event. We will have to wait a little longer before discovering more details on the rest of the game of the decade – according to Numerama. To keep fans waiting, the Switch will be entitled to an HD port of The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword.

The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword was originally released for Wii in 2011. At the time, it relied on gameplay that used motion gaming. Naturally, The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword HD will take this specificity on its own, with an adaptation to the two Joy-Con and even more precise and intuitive movements (thanks to the power of the Switch). Concretely, you will be able to wave your arms to give sword blows and ward off enemy attacks.

A new “Zelda” on Switch for the month of July

Motion gaming will be reserved for the normal Switch. In the case of the Switch Lite, which does not have the detachable Joy-Con, we will be able to play normally with the keys – which was not possible in the original version. In this configuration, the right stick will be used to control the blows carried by the sword. The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword HD will therefore offer choice in handling.

To note that The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword HD is based on the oldest story in the chronology of the saga. It revolves around the creation of the legendary sword, wielded by the hero. If it looks a lot like the old Zelda in its structure, Nintendo will never forget to remember that it incorporates certain mechanics from The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild (example: the endurance gauge).

The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword HD is due out July 17 on Nintendo Switch. He will be accompanied by a pair of collector’s Joy-Con, with the effigy of the sword and the shield (to believe it even more in front of his television).
