TAMPA, Florida (AP) – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expecting a new look in 2020.
Building on the momentum created by signing six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady in the free agency, the Bucs unveiled new uniforms for next season on Tuesday – a move that is also welcomed by fans.
Gone are jerseys with hard-to-read numbers in the style of a digital alarm clock, which were replaced by more traditional ensembles of red, white and tin, similar to the uniforms that the team wore from 1997 to 2013 – the most successful range in franchise history.
The Bucs have missed the playoffs for 12 seasons in a row and haven’t won a postseason game since their Super Bowl championship 18 years ago.
“This new but familiar look is a direct result of the valuable feedback we’ve received from our fans,” said team owner / co-chair Ed Glazer. ” We are excited to be returning to our classic Super Bowl era uniforms while presenting an elegant uniform that showcases our signature tin in a new and dramatic way. ”
In addition to red home and white away jerseys, which are worn with pewter or white trousers, the team is also introducing a pewter jersey that is worn from head to toe with matching trousers and socks. Color Rush ” ensemble.
