New coal for the German Football League (DFL)?
As the “Handelsblatt” reports, the DFL is preparing an auction process.
Background: the league is examining financing options including an investor’s participation in the TV rights. Bidders should be able to acquire a 20 percent share in a sports rights marketing subsidiary.
The DFL would really cash in! Three to four billion are in it. According to the report, the company is currently valued at 15 to 18 billion.
