“Bush, who invaded Iraq, denounces Putin’s barbarism.”

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media reacted to former US President George W. Bush’s description of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as the “Winston Churchill” of the era.

This description came in a comment on a photo of Bush and Zelensky that Bush Jr. posted on his page on the photo-sharing site “Instagram”.

“I had the honor to spend a few minutes speaking with President Zelensky – the Winston Churchill of our time – this morning. I thanked the President for his leadership, example and commitment to freedom, and salute the courage of the Ukrainian people,” Bush said in a caption to the photo.

“President Zelensky has assured me that they will not waver in their fight against Putin’s barbarism and bullying,” Bush said. “The Americans are united by their steadfastness and resilience. We will continue to stand with the Ukrainians as they defend their freedom.”
