Although the Ministry of Education has not arranged the realization of face-to-face classes, a teacher set up a room, which he set up as a classroom, in order to give classes.
Agents of the Callao Emergency Squad intervened Juan Vasquez Rojas (33) when he gave classes to 16 minors who were preparing for the next entrance exam to universities in the capital.
According to information released by the newspaper Ojo, the students wore masks and kept a distance of one meter. However, they were crowded and there was little ventilation.
The pseudo-academy worked in block E, lot 10, in the Horizonte Azul Association, Canta Callao area.
The authorities were alerted by the neighbors. Likewise, they transferred Vásquez to the police station of the sector where they imposed the respective fine for the offense and the minors were handed over to their parents.
The Minister of Education, Ricardo Cuenca, mentioned that the main objective of his sector is to achieve a progressive return to face-to-face classes in 2021. He also emphasized again that this year will be more similar to 2020 than to 2019, due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
“The main objective we have, as well as the majority of countries, is to progressively return to face-to-face classes, because without a doubt that is where we can better address this closing of gaps and better address the educational issue,” he said in RPP.
