Candriam enters the capital of IZNES

Contributor for more than two years to the project, Candriam consolidates its commitment in the development of the platform and wishes to use its capacities, in order to optimize the treatment and the cost of its operations.

The community of founding management companies is enriched with a new member and is opening up to the international market.

For several months, profound upheavals have been underway in the fund distribution industry: the accelerated concentration of players is leading to a situation of imbalance that can act to the detriment of asset management companies.

Founded in 2017 by a consortium of French management companies, IZNES is a platform designed by management companies for management companies and their clients.

Last January, the entry into its capital of a leading insurer (Generali Vie) and a leading social protection group (APICIL Group) confirmed the adoption of the solution by the buy side. Today, it is taking a new step forward with the entry into its shareholding structure of Candriam, a player anchored in the heart of Europe with four management centers in as many European countries.

Contributor for more than two years to the project, Candriam consolidates its commitment in the development of the platform and wishes to use its capacities, in order to optimize the treatment and the cost of its operations, both in France and Luxembourg.

Pan-European investment platform for UCI units and record keeping in Blockchain, IZNES offers a complete, simple and secure solution from the connection to the record keeping. This new model is now deployed internationally.

Since its operational launch in March 2019, this integrated solution within the Asset Servicers ecosystem has met with great success: by the end of April 2021, IZNES had made it possible to process nearly 20 billion euros in transactions.

“Through this acquisition of a stake in IZNES, Candriam confirms its desire to invest in cutting-edge technologies and new operational solutions from which our customers will benefit”, commented Fabrice Cuchet, COO of Candriam. “We are also delighted to contribute to the development of the innovative solutions offered by IZNES and to support a promising French Fintech internationally.”

“I am delighted with the arrival of Candriam in the capital of IZNES”, added Christophe Lepitre, CEO of IZNES. “The group has solid experience in the management and distribution of funds internationally and its expertise will be invaluable for our development outside France.”
