Caracas again leads cases for covid-19 in the last 24 hours

The sector vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, reported this Saturday that Caracas presents the highest number of infections, in 21 of its Parishes: San Juan 13, Altagracia 12, El Valle 10, Sucre 10, Santa Rosalía 08, El Recreo 08, Caricuao 06, La Candelaria 04, La Vega 04, San José 04, La Pastora 04, San Pedro 03, El Paraíso 03, Macarao 02 and Coche 01.

Through his official account on the social network Twitter @luchaalmada, the Minister for Communication and Information reported that in the last 24 hours Venezuela registered 547 new infections due to the coronavirus, 532 of community transmission and 15 imported cases, all from Colombia. , with entry through the state of Táchira.

Ñáñez explained that the new community cases are geographically distributed in: Caracas 99, Táchira 80, Yaracuy 74, Zulia 56, Miranda 44, Lara 36, ​​Nueva Esparta 22, Mérida 19, Los Roques 18, Guárico 13, Trujillo 12, Bolívar 12, Barinas 08, Portuguesa 08, Apure 07, Carabobo 07, Sucre 05, Cojedes 05, Aragua 03, Monagas 02 and Anzoátegui 02.

He said that to date Venezuela has a cumulative total of 126,323 confirmed cases, 118,385 people recovered, which represents 94% of infections. We have 6,755 active cases, 6,615 are being treated in the public health system and 140 in private clinics.

The official also reported the condition of the patients due to covid-19: 3,671 patients are asymptomatic, 2,718 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 261 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 105 in the Intensive Care Unit.

On the other hand, it reported the death of six patients as a result of the infection caused by the outbreak: 1 40-year-old woman and 1 56-year-old man from Aragua state, 1 85-year-old woman from Caracas, 1 64-year-old man from Falcón, 1 woman 54-year-old from Mérida and 1 72-year-old man from Yaracuy, with these figures Venezuela up to a total accumulated 1,183 deaths from the pandemic.
