The Chief of the General Staff of the Senegalese Armies (Cemga), General Cheikh Wade will be on a working visit to Mali from July 26 to 30. This trip by the Senegalese army’s high authority, in addition to strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, will be an opportunity for Cemga to inquire about the living and working conditions of the soldiers of the 10th Senegalese contingent (Detsen / 10) deployed in Mali as part of the Minusma.
During his stay, General Cheikh Wade will pay a courtesy visit to the Malian forces, the Senegalese forces, the head of Minusma, the Senegalese ambassador to Mali among others, in Bamako, on July 27. Then he will go to Mopti on Wednesday July 28 to meet the soldiers of the Detsen / 10 (850 elements). He will then go to Gao to meet the Senegalese Engineer Company (Detgen 3, 140 elements) deployed in Mali since October 2020.
