Caesar Hildebrandt referred again to the secretary general from Free Peru and sentenced ex-governor of Junín, Vladimir Cerron. The journalist reflected in a conversation with Epicentro about the involution of the Peruvian left and what the head of the pencil party embodies.
“The left had two options,” Hildebrandt said: follow the Gramscian path of Mariátegui (the one akin to the Italian philosopher Antonio Gramsci), which is “the most humanist interpretation of Marxism,” or prefer “the darkness: Stalinism.” The first —in his words— is a complex path, full of nuances and complexities. The second, on the other hand, prevents you from the martyrdom of doubting”.
Extremisms, continues the journalist, “consist of a mental hammock. They neither debate, nor nuance, nor confront. Cerrón is that expression. It is, let’s say, the defeat of intelligence on the left.”

Hildebrandt recalled referents from the left such as Javier Diez Canseco, Alfonso Barrantes and the aforementioned Mariátegui to say that “the left is the widow of (them); and it seems to be the shadow of Sendero Luminoso, however”.
Then, he named the reasons for their similarities: “In its darkness, in its stupidity, in its simplism, in its binary vocation: bad and good, rich and poor. Society is much more complex than that. The economy deserves much more analysis than Mr. Cerrón can give. He is the expression of what happened to the left when he gave up thinking, ”argued the journalist.
YOU CAN SEE: Vladimir Cerrón already has a habeas corpus that could reach the new Constitutional Court
Vladimir Cerrón has a new habeas corpus that tries to annul his sentence
The new habeas corpus that seeks to annul the conviction for corruption of Vladimir Cerrón was presented on March 25, 2022, precisely in the final stage of the election of the new members of the constitutional Court (CT). By then the names of the finalists were already known, according to statements by this newspaper. One of them, Gustavo Gutiérrez, a countryman from Cerrón, is today a judge of the TC.
Hildebrandt on the last presidential elections: “Between nausea and mystery, people chose the mystery”
During an interview conducted by René Gastelumendi, host of “Grado 5″, the journalist specified that for the election of the new six magistrates of the Constitutional Court (TC), Fuerza Popular and Perú Libre had “an unnatural alliance” that has turned them into a real marriage.
He added that, without these extreme political parties, the election would have been impossible. As he has already warned, this new TC is very conservative and could “clean” both Keiko Fujimori and Vladimir Cerrón in the event that they are convicted by the Judiciary.
Villaverde revives the fraud and the right spreads it
César Hildebrandt said that the Peruvian political right has not learned anything. In this sense, he argued that this sector has clung to the discourse of fraud because it is the easiest way to minimize or eradicate the issue. “With fraud there is no longer Castillo, there is no longer a president, he is leaving, he is gone. It is the magical thinking of a child or an idiot. In this case, from an idiot,” he stated.
Hildebrandt: “Congress does not want to leave because it aspires to complete its cancer agenda”
In his column in the weekly Hildebrandt en sus trece, the press man wrote: “(Zamir Villaverde) adds that he knew how, from a department in Surco, the operation was coordinated. This convicted robber adds that he fears for his life and that he wants to be an effective collaborator. Fujimori in a band, always in a band, celebrates. ‘We already said it’, they chant. They are used to quoting criminals.”

Hildebrandt: “Alva is in a race with Castillo to see who does worse”
The director of the weekly Hildebrandt en sus thirteen compared Alva Prieto with President Pedro Castillo and pointed out that both have terrible management. “I think they are in a kind of marathon race to see who does worse, who messes up more. There is a feeling that I have of her, like an athlete of error, to see if she takes the title from Castillo, ”he said in his weekly podcast.
Access to computers seized from Vladimir Cerrón confirmed
The Court made up of judges Ramiro Salinas, Víctor Enríquez and Yeni Magallanes rejected Vladimir Cerrón’s request, which was intended to prevent the Public Ministry from accessing and analyzing three CPUs of his property and two others of the current ruling party. In this way, according to the resolution of the Third Appeals Chamber, since last Wednesday the Judiciary has provided access to the devices seized from Cerrón and his party, Peru Libre, in August 2021 in the framework of the investigation for alleged money laundering.
