Roberto Gómez Bolaños, better known as Chespirito, He was one of the most recognized actors and comedians in Mexico worldwide. He was also a playwright, writer, screenwriter, producer, and television director.

Although he died in 2014, his life left its mark on many generations who fondly remember characters like him Chavo del Ocho and the Chapulín Colorado, the protagonists of productions that were broadcast in various countries of Latin America. Several people, perhaps, have wondered why Gómez Bolaños was called spirit and actor and director revealed the reason during an interview. It all started when director Agustín Delgado compared him to Shakespeare, telling him that he was ‘little Shakespeare’ or a ‘Little Shakespeare’, a nickname he quickly turned into Chespirito.

Later, Roberto Gómez Bolaños began to create his first characters, such as Dr. Chapatín and the word chanfle. However, it was all a coincidence, until someone pointed out that, like his nickname, those names began with Ch and since then, he began to be intentional with the names of the other characters in his shows such as Chilindrina, el Chavo, Chapulín Colorado, Chómpiras, Chimoltrufia and Chaparrón Bonaparte.

In addition to his qualities as a screenwriter and performer, spirit he was part of 20 films and hundreds of theatrical performances. He also wrote several soap operas and books and even composed music as one of his favorite hobbies. Regarding his private life, in 1968 he married Graciela Fernández, with whom he had six children: Roberto, Graciela, Marcela, Paulina, Teresa and Cecilia, but they divorced in 1989. Then, in 2004, after several years of relationship , he married the actress Florinda Meza, remembered for playing Dona Florinda in El Chavo del Ocho.
