As of March 11, Kunming Customs has supervised and released 195 pairs of 390 international freight trains on the China-Laos Railway, with a total freight volume of 245,000 tons and a value of 2.67 billion yuan (RMB, the same below). According to reports, the China-Laos Railway connects Kunming, China and Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and adopts Chinese standards across the board. It is a landmark project for the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” and China-Laos friendship. Since the opening of operation on December 3, 2021, the China-Laos railway international freight has developed rapidly with the characteristics of “strong carrying capacity, high safety and low transportation cost” of railway transportation.
At present, trains from 13 provinces (cities, districts), including Yunnan, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Chongqing, have passed through customs. remaining species.
