BEIJING (Reuters) – China said on Monday that it opposed all U.S. restrictions imposed on Chinese airlines and responded to a report that the U.S. Department of Transportation asked Chinese airlines to change their flight schedules and other flight details by 27. May be submitted.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the flight restrictions imposed by Beijing treat all airlines equally and are due to efforts to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19.

The US government accused the Chinese government late Friday of making it impossible for US airlines to resume flight to China.
