Barely five minutes had elapsed at the Elías Figueroa stadium in Valparaíso for the Clásico Universitario and Fernando Zampedri beat blue goalkeeper Martín Parra to open the account and partially equalize the key for the progress to the semifinals of Copa Chile.
Nevertheless, seconds after the celebration, fireworks exploded a few meters from the blue goalkeeper, who was lying on the lawn of the Fifth Region venue due to acoustic trauma by the loud bang of flares and noise bombs.
The situation experienced by Martín Parra caused the suspension of the meeting “due to lack of guarantees”, according to information from Sports DNA. All in the context of a game that finally had UC fans in the stands despite the fact that the crossed cast was sanctioned after the incidents caused by his fans in Copa Chile for the last official match in San Carlos de Apoquindo.

Martin Parra will be hospitalized
After being transferred to Santiago, Martín Parra arrived at the emergency service of the Universidad de los Andes Clinicwhere the head of the department, Charles Riveradelivered the first diagnoses: “he has an acoustic trauma, which is an injury. Now we have to see the repercussion of all this. We are doing studies so that tomorrow we have more clarity on the effects that this injury could have, ”he argued.
“We are going to leave him hospitalized more than anything for the possibility of doing more tests. He arrived well, he is a player, he is trained, he is young, healthy. He arrived calmly, but with obvious concern, we told him that he will stay hospitalized and he agreed, “he said.
