Dhe new publications on the subject of climate change come in the tone of empowerment. Not only do they want to scare, they also want to arouse anger in children towards adults. Adults who, so the undertone of many texts, rob them of their future out of comfort or ignorance. Children and young people are to be upgraded to explain to backward parents, teachers and politicians what needs to be done now.

The authors proceed according to an astonishingly similar scheme. “Climate change” is presented as a problem that cannot be discussed. This happens most impressively in a small volume from the children’s book publisher Oettinger.
