Closed premises and more than 100 subpoenas in control operations in Cali this morning

Commercial establishments closed, more than 100 subpoenas
and about 20 immobilized vehicles is the balance left by the operations carried out by the authorities in the last few hours in different tourist and gastronomic areas of Cali.

According to what was explained by Jimmy Dranguet, Undersecretary of Inspection, Surveillance and Control, between Friday night and early Saturday morning, a total of three nightclubs were closed that did not comply with some of the guidelines required to be open to the public.

As detailed, one of the closures took place in the El Peñón sector, where a local was caught operating with the presence of minors. The other two closed establishments are located in the north of Cali, one of them did not comply with the biosafety protocols and the other with the operating hours.

“We made tours throughout the city, we carried out closure procedures for establishments in El Peñón and in the north. We are going to continue working for the safety and peaceful coexistence of the community, always in the company of all the authorities,” commented Dranguet.

In the case of traffic operations, the Ministry of Mobility reported that in operations carried out in different tourist and gastronomic corridors, a total of 103 subpoenas were imposed for violations of the regulations and, in addition, 20 vehicles were immobilized.

“A broad inter-institutional operation was deployed, we were present in several places to guarantee order and tranquility in the public space to those who visit the gastronomic and nightlife areas. The result of more than 100 subpoenas issued and the immobilization of one of these, for giving a positive grade 2 result to the breathalyzer test,” said the Secretary of Mobility, William Vallejo.

In addition, he specified that the main operation was carried out on the road to Cristo Rey where more than 90 vehicles were notified for different reasons. “This is being done and the results are already being seen where people are becoming aware and for example, in the Parque del Perro gastronomic area, citizens are already parking their vehicles in parking lots and respecting public space,” said the Secretary.
