Ethereum (ETH) and Dogecoin (DOGE) are two crypto giants. Ranked 2nd and 6th respectively, these two cryptos together weigh more than $ 270 billion! In this context, a merger between the two cryptos would not go unnoticed. Precisely, the co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin mentioned a possible collaboration between the two cryptos.
Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk are on the same line!
Last week, Vitalik Buterin was interviewed by Lex Fridman, a researcher specializing in artificial intelligence. Referring to Elon Musk’s power of influence over cryptos, the researcher then asked the creator of ETH the following question: “Is there a way to leverage this power to improve Ethereum?” “
Vitalik Buterin then showed himself more thanopen to collaboration between Ethereum and Dogecoin. For him,
it would thus be “great” for a solution to bridge the gap between the two cryptos. He thinks it would be win-win. Dogecoin would thus benefit from the high scalability and low fees that should characterize Ethereum once the ongoing developments are completed. Last month, Elon Musk said he spoke with the developers at DOGE to suggest some technical improvements to make crypto even more attractive.
“I think if we can have a secure Dogecoin-Ethereum bridge that would be amazing. Then, once the Ethereum developments are fine-tuned for Ethereum assets, you will be able to trade DOGEs with very low transaction fees and very high speed. “
This appeal from Vitalik Buterin’s foot did not go unnoticed. Unsurprisingly, Elon Musk responded via Twitter. If his answer is laconic, it has the merit of being clear: “I tend to agree with Vitalik” !
The price of Dogecoin and Ethereum
Ethereum and Dogecoin did not escape the crypto crash of May 2021. If the free fall is stopped, their price is still not looking good. Over the last 7 days, the price of ETH and DOGE have fallen by more than 6.5% and 13% respectively. At the time of writing, Ethereum is priced at € 2,017 and Dogecoin is € 0.26.
