The group of Compromise for Temper, in opposition, has asked the government team to finish the School of Music taking advantage of the money it can recover thanks to the VAT return on the construction of the La Lira cultural space. From the group have recalled in a statement that on December 9, 2010, the City of Tremp set up a public body called Public Business Entity La Lira to manage this multipurpose cultural space, which was inaugurated on November 25, 2011. In this sense, they have indicated that “the constitution of this figure of management could end up assuming the recovery of the VAT corresponding to the construction of the cultural equipment, as it has finally happened “.
Finally, they add, on March 9, 2020 the second chamber of the Central Economic-Administrative Court (TEAC) has resolved the appeals filed by the City of Tremp since 2011 against the VAT settlement agreements of the Lira issued by the Tax Management Office of the Lleida Delegation of the AEAT. In this sense, they indicate, the TEAC has resolved that the City of Tremp can deduct the VAT fees paid for the construction of the multipurpose space of La Lira, which amount to 309,478.54 euros, despite the fact that on July 23, 2018 Tremp City Council dissolved the EPE La Lira with the votes of CiU and ERC, the two groups that made up the government team the previous term.
From Commitment remember that the City Council has pending completion of the works of the Municipal School of Music in the same building the Lira, and that is why they ask that these deductible quotas of the VAT of the construction of the multipurpose room of the Lira, of 309,478.54 euros and that have to be returned by the Tax Administration, are destined at the end of the work of the Municipal School of Music.
