Its creation with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), was decided on the sidelines of the 7th session of the African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development organized from March 1 to 4, 2021 in Kintélé by the Republic of congo.
The center will offer Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate training, certified online training as well as introductory programs in robotics and artificial intelligence for primary and secondary school students.
It will undertake research on the legal, ethical, economic and societal implications, develop tools, products and services based on helping African countries in general and Congo in particular to adopt the implementation of this technology to meet development aspirations. national and pending the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

To access the African Center for Research in Artificial Intelligence via the LMD program, the interested party must hold a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics.
On the basis of a written test, the candidate must justify advanced knowledge in algorithms, data structures, linear algebra as well as in probability and operations research.
Applications are examined by a joint commission set up by the President of UDSN and the Coordinator of CARIA.
Besides, other trainings are also plannedand the Caria will host many research projects within it with the aim of facilitating collaboration between the academic and industrial worlds. This is to help leverage artificial intelligence to promote the economic and social development of the country.
