Construction Research Institute to hold the 4th Hydrogen Construction Equipment Power Generation Forum next month

[월간수소경제 박상우 기자] A forum will be held to discuss the development of hydrogen construction equipment.

The Construction Machinery & Components Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Construction Machinery Institute) will hold the ‘4th Hydrogen Construction Machinery Development Forum’ at The-K Hotel Seoul in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul on October 5th.

The Hydrogen Construction Machinery Development Forum was launched in March 2019 to provide a forum for industry, academia, and research institutes to share domestic and foreign industry trends and R&D and to discuss the development direction of hydrogen construction equipment.

Global construction machinery technology is changing to eco-friendly technology and carbon-neutral in order to respond to global warming, resource crisis, and fine dust problems.

In the midst of this, the government has included hydrogen construction equipment in the mobility field by announcing a roadmap to revitalize the hydrogen economy, and has since reflected it in the government-wide technology roadmap and is pursuing commercialization with a goal of 2030.

This forum is held to share the current development trend of hydrogen construction equipment and to discuss policies and nurturing methods for power generation, the Korea Development Institute announced.

In this forum, △Development of 50kW fuel cell hybrid system for hydrogen keyer (Jae-Chun Yang, Doosan Fuel Cell Power) △Status of hydrogen engine development and potential use of construction equipment (Hyundai Motor Research Fellow, Hong-Gil Baek) △Hydrogen forklift demonstration/trial project (Hee-Soo Kim Construction Machinery Parts) A total of three thematic presentations will be held, including the head of the research institute), and free discussion among industry-academia-related experts will be held.
